Here we have a curious item, on several levels. Serotta was a highly-regarded American hand-made bike frame builder which regrettably no longer exists. This is a custom frame whose specific geometry numbers therefore cannot be ascertained. It was made for Tom Ramey, formerly president of Liberty Mutual International, whose interest in international bike racing led to the sponsorship of the Liberty Mutual pro team in 2004. The team had previously been the ONCE team, with riders including Alberto Contador, Roberto Heras, Luis Leon Sanchez, Joseba Beloki, and Alexander Vinokourov on its roster. After the Operation Puerto doping case came to light, Liberty Mutual pulled sponsorship of the team in May 2006 and it went on to be sponsored by Astana. Mr Ramey kept on riding bikes, in fact purchased this bike in August 2006. It was well-cared for and is now for sale for someone tall! Please read on for full details. This complete bike originally sold for $11,800.
This bike was the personal bike of a one of our customers. We do not know what its exact mileage was.
Bike will be checked out/tuned by a pro bike mechanic before it is packed and shipped. We ship via BikeFlights to continental US locations only. This is $75 for locations east of the Mississippi and $95 to locations west of that demarcation. I can assure you that despite our best efforts, we nearly always spend more than these prices on shipping bikes, so we are doing our best to be fair to you (and us).
We do our best to photograph any blemishes or issues with anything we sell, and we make sure to pack up items so they can arrive at your destination exactly as they left ours.
